The Board authorized the participation in litigation of two potential cases: State of California vs. Donald Trump and Gomez vs. Donald Trump. 

These are cases contesting presidential proclamations, one involving whether undocumented immigrants will be included for purposes of congressional apportionment after the census is taken, and on in regard to the ability of undocumented immigrants to enter the United States of obtain visas that would allow them to join the country’s workforce.

No Name, spoke in opposition to oil drilling in Brentwood, and requests the Board adopt a moratorium on drilling in the County;

Marianna Moore, Ensuring Opportunity Campaign, appreciates the increase in time allowed for public comment, thanked Mr. Twa for the Budget 101 presentation of a few weeks ago, and noted that the operation of the call-in

Katherine Wally, Walnut Creek, is a certified interpreter and requests that those using interpretation services be allowed more than double time to communicate accurately, that a professional interpreter be utilized. She would also like the Board to

Danny Espinoza, thanked the Board for increasing the public speaking time to 2 minutes and hopes for 3 minutes in the future.  He would like greater avenues for rehabilitation for offenders

Melanie Penn, Contra Costa Immigrant Rights Alliance, requested the Board hire a qualified interpreter, expressed her disappointment that CARES Act funding was used for the Sheriff's Department and requested greater support and dialogue with immigrant support communities.
