1. Roll Call
  Chair Moore called the meeting to order at 5:12pm. 11 voting MXCAB members total were present, with 10 at the Martinez location and one participating remotely. Two members participated remotely in a non-voting capacity, and three additional members arrived after roll call. There were approximately 21 total virtual participants.
             
2. Public comment on any item under the jurisdiction of the MXCAB and not on this agenda (speakers may be limited to two minutes).
  There were no requests for public comment. 
             
3. Staff recommends MXCAB receive the Record of Action for the May 17, 2023 meeting. 
  The record of action was approved as received.

4. RECEIVE MXCAB membership updates
  Staff provided updates on MXCAB membership, including the appointments of Nancy Benavides, Martha "Azi" Carter, and Jontae Clapp; and resignation of Genoveva Calloway, leading to a total of 5 vacancies on the MXCAB. Chair Moore also discussed the forthcoming MXCAB orientation process, and new members were paired with incumbents as part of a new "buddy system."

5. RECEIVE updates from the MXCAB Chair on the Board of Supervisors' approved revisions to the MXCAB Bylaws. 
  Chair Moore announced that the revised MXCAB Bylaws were approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 16, 2023 as published in the attached. Public comment was received from one member of the public.

6. DISCUSS the process for new Measure X allocations for the $4.67M unallocated balance and unspent funds to be identified by the Board of Supervisors in September. 
  Chair Moore summarized the direction from the Board of Supervisors at the May 23, 2023 Budget Hearing, regarding next steps for new Measure X allocations, including the request for proposals process for County departments and members of the Board of Supervisors. Proposals will be discussed at the September 19 meeting of the Board of Supervisors, followed by referral to the MXCAB for consideration and their recommendations to the Board. MXCAB members discussed their role and advocated for a process to educate the public and include community feedback on proposed new allocations. Public comment was received from two members of the public.

7. DISCUSS updates on Measure X funded projects (Mariana Moore, MXCAB Chair)
  MXCAB members shared updates on various Measure X funded projects. Public comment was received from one member of the public. 
             
8. The next meeting is currently scheduled for July 19, 2023.
             
9. Adjourn
  The meeting was adjourned at 7:17pm.
