CONSIDER approving the Record of Action for the September 9, 2013 Hiring Outreach and Oversight Committee meeting

Public comment on any item under the jurisdiction of the Committee and not on this agenda (speakers may be limited to three minutes).

CONSIDER directing the Affirmative Action Officer to create an Equal Employment Opportunity Task Force to develop and recommend non-discrimination policies and procedures as the County moves forward. The Task Force will report to the Hiring Outreach and Oversight Committee on a monthly basis.

CONSIDER directing the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, Human Resources and Affirmative Action to strategize, create and implement comprehensive recruitment and outreach goals to reach qualified females and minorities for the fire department.

The next meeting is currently scheduled for March 10, 2014.

The Hiring Outreach Oversight Committee will provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities planning to attend Hiring Outreach Oversight Committee meetings. Contact the staff person listed below at least 72 hours before the meeting.
