Accepted the report and directed staff to forward to the Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Gioia asked the Department to return to a later F&HS meeting with a funding proposal to address the staffing challenges. The proposal should include approaches to leveraging other state funding and cost benefits of hiring now. The Committee accepted public comment. Speakers: Beatriz Zurita, Larry Sly, Mariana Moore, and Melody Howe Weintraub. |
