  There were no public comments regarding items not on the Committee's agenda.
 
3. Staff recommends approval of the Record of Action for the March 15, 2016 meeting.
  
 
  The Record of Action for the March 15, 2016, Finance Committee meeting was approved as recommended.

4. CONSIDER accepting Department of Conservation and Development's attached recommendations regarding a request for additional CDBG Funds for Infrastructure/Public Facility Projects.
  
 
  Gabriel Lemus , the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Manager in the Department of Conservation and Development presented a report of the proposals for FY 2016/17 CDBG funding recommendations for the categories of Economic Development and Infrastructure/Public Facilities.  Mr. Lemus acknowledged the good work of all the agencies involved in CDBG.  Six applicants were received by the deadline for the Economic Development category and all six were recommended for funding.  Supervisor Piepho asked staff to summarize the geographic areas represented in the proposals.  In the Economic Development category, Mr. Lemus indicated that three projects were from West County, two were from East County, and one was Countywide.  In the Infrastructure/Public Facilities category, two proposals were from East County, four from West County, and two were from Central County.  All attendees were invited to speak.  Representatives from Opportunity Junction, Future Build, The Stride Center, and the Community Housing Development took the opportunity to highlight the successes of their projects.  All attendees indicated that they were pleased with staff's recommendations.  Supervisor Piepho approved the recommendations as submitted and directed staff to forward the recommendations to the full Board of Supervisors (May 10, 2016).
