2. Public comment on any item under the jurisdiction of the Committee and not on this agenda (speakers may be limited to three minutes).
 
  Public comment was received.
 
3. APPROVE Record of Action from the February 24, 2020 meeting.   
 
  Approved as presented.

  1. RECEIVE an report on each fee impacted by the County's moratorium on the collection and assessment of certain criminal justice fees assessed by the County; and
  2. PROVIDE direction to staff to return to the Board of Supervisors for an update on the moratorium, including consideration to approve the discharge from accountability for the impacted accounts and to maintain the existing fund for receiving California Fingerpring ID Penalty revenue. 
  
 
  Approved as presented, directing staff to return to the Board of Supervisors to consider:
 
  • continuing the moratorium, including discussion on the abilty to pay process for county fees collected by the court and the Sheriff's Office and the continuation of the current fund used for the California Fingerprint ID Penalty; and
  • approving a write-off of the current court accounts related to the fees included in the moratorium;

5. REVIEW and APPROVE a revised fiscal year 2020/21 AB 109 budget proposal, as recommended by the Community Corrections Partnership - Executive Committee.

6. PROVIDE direction to staff regarding the recruitment process for the Community-based Representative Seat 4 on the Contra Costa County Racial Justice Oversight Body.   
 
  Approved a revised recruitment process with interviews being held during the PPC meeting on July 27, 2020 and consideration for approval by the Board of Supervisors on September 8, 2020.

7. ACCEPT a report from the W. Hayward Burns Institute on the progress and activities of the County’s Racial Justice Oversight Body, and provide direction to staff as needed.
