Referral History:
The County Welfare Directors Association (CWDA) is sponsoring AB 2083 (Cooley), and the Director of the Employment and Human Services Department of the County, Kathy Gallagher, is recommending that the Legislation Committee consider recommending its support to the Board of Supervisors.
Adopts Continuum of Care Reform to improve California' s child welfare system and its outcomes, including an increase in home-based family care. Ensures that a resource family applicant completes training regarding the effects of trauma, child abuse, and neglect, and methods to behaviorally support impacted children. Establishes a joint interagency resolution team to develop guidance, provide support, and increase the capacity and delivery of trauma-informed care.
