AB 32, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, will expire in 2020. The reduction limits established by AB for emissions of greenhouse gases will remain in place. SB 32 would establish Legislative direction for setting continuing emissions reduction targets. Staff did not have sufficient time to perform an in-depth analysis of the bill. The most current bill text, as well as a fact sheet from the author (Senator Fran Pavley) are attached.
