Referral History:

On June 11, 2019, the County Board of Supervisors received a presentation from the interdepartmental Illegal Dumping Think Tank team and approved a total of fifty-six (56) illegal dumping strategies recommended by the interdepartmental Illegal Dumping Think Tank. The Board referred implementation of the recommendations to this newly formed Ad Hoc Committee.

STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION UPDATES: At the February 2, 2023 Committee meeting, staff members from the Illegal Dumping Think Tank team will make brief verbal presentations about the following CCC Illegal Dumping Initiative implementation highlights:

Surveillance Cameras – Strategy #46
Outreach and Engagement - Strategy #5 Public Outreach Campaign, Strategy #16 Community Clean Up Event, Strategy #56 Community Partner Engagement

In preparation for this upcoming Illegal Dumping Ad Hoc Committee meeting, staff has updated Table 1 and the Illegal Dumping Initiative Dashboard which are attached and reflect progress applicable to the individual strategies.
