Referral History:

At its March 1, 2021 meeting, Vice-Chair Gioia requested staff to review the historical documents pertaining to the Management Seat on the ACEEO. Staff reviewed several documents which provided answers to some of the concerns. The actions taken by staff are listed below:

Review 1991 Board Order Establishing the Advisory Council on EEO (ACEEO)
Reviewed ACEEO bylaws
Provided list of available seats and current membership on the ACEEO
Provided definitions for the seat designations (such as what requirements must be fulfilled for an employee to fill the management seat)
Checked with the Office of the County Administrator for additional documentation that may help define the requirements to fill the seats
Contacted the 9 Bay Area Counties to determine what their requirements are to fill the seats on their EEO Councils.
Created chart to compare the results and present at next meeting

Staff completed the requests and has compiled the information to present to the committee.
