Referral History:

At the February 18, 2021 meeting of the Illegal Dumping Ad Hoc Committee, staff was directed to bring forward a recommendation to the full Board to approve allocation of funding in the amount of $350,000 for uninterrupted implementation of the two illegal dumping strategies that could not be implemented with existing budgets in FY 2021/22 (Year 3).

Referral Update:

On June 8, 2021, the County Board of Supervisors received a presentation from the interdepartmental Illegal Dumping Think Tank team and approved allocation of funding in the amount of $350,000 for uninterrupted implementation of the two illegal dumping strategies that could not be implemented with existing budgets in FY 21/22 (Year 3), and Ad Hoc Committee recommended strategy amendments.

On August 4, 2021, John Kopchik made a presentation to the Measure X Community Advisory Board seeking $600,000 to help fund the County’s Illegal Dumping Initiative. A copy of the slide presentation is attached.
