RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2021/4505 to establish two-hour limited time parking between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Sundays and Holidays excluded, on a portion of the south side of Loring Avenue (Road No. 2294D), from a point 86 feet west of the centerline of Rolph Avenue (Road No. 2294G) and extending west a distance of 172 feet, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Crockett area. (District IV)

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

The Crockett Museum and the Crockett Library contacted the Public Works Department’s Transportation Engineering Division to request a two-hour parking restriction on a portion of the south side of Loring Avenue to better serve visitors to the museum and the library. Traffic Engineering Staff responded by conducting a site visit, determined this parking restriction will not negatively affect other businesses and road users, and recommends adoption of this traffic regulation.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Parking will remain limited and museum and library patrons will find it difficult to utilize existing parking spaces.
