RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, or designee to execute a contract with Rahul Maharaj for emergency medical dispatch quality assurance review, in an amount not to exceed $250,000, for the period November 1, 2021, through October 31, 2024.

BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa Regional Fire Communications Center (CCRFCC) operates the 911 secondary Public Safety Answering Point dispatch system for nearly all emergency fire, EMS, and rescue calls for service Countywide. CCRFCC dispatches fire and ambulance first responders to nearly 141,000 emergencies annually. The majority of calls are for medical emergencies. Contractor serves as a planner, organizer, and instructor of the Emergency Medical Dispatch System Quality Improvement Unit. Contractor consults and assists with quality improvement case review, data management, feedback, new and continuing education development training provided for the quality improvement process in the CCRFCC.
