RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74-301-10 with Desarrollo Familiar, Inc. (dba Familias Unidas), a non-profit corporation, effective July 1, 2018, to amend Contract #74-301-9, to increase the payment limit by $7,696, from $770,832 to a new payment limit of $778,528, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded by 22% Federal Medi-Cal and 78% Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). (3% Cost of Living Adjustment)

BACKGROUND:

On September 20, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-301-9 with Desarrollo Familiar, Inc. (dba Familias Unidas) to provide MHSA Community Services and Supports Program, for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-301-10 will allow the contractor to provide additional MHSA services through June 30, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, there will be fewer services provided to eligible adult clients in Contra Costa County through the MHSA Community Services and Support Program.
