RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Agreement #26-919-2 with Vizient, Inc., a non-profit corporation, to perform financial and clinical data sharing at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers, for the period September 24, 2018 through September 23, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This is a non-financial agreement.

BACKGROUND:

Contra Costa County Health Services Department and Vizient, Inc., have agreed to share data to improve CCRMC and Health Centers’ clinical, operational and patient safety performance. The purpose of this agreement is to allow Vizient, Inc., to deliver County data to University Healthcare Consortium (UHC) (a subcontractor to Vizient, Inc.) and allow Vizient, Inc., to deliver Contra Costa Health Services Healthcare Engagement Network (HEN) data to Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) as required by law.

Approval of Agreement #26-919-2, will allow the parties to continue to perform financial and clinical data sharing through September 23, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this agreement is not approved, the County will not have access to shared data to improve CCRMC and Health Centers’ clinical, operational and patient safety performance.
