RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #27-319-4 with Diablo Valley Pediatric Medical Group, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $2,500,000 to provide pediatric primary care physician services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members and County recipients for the period September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On September 13, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-319-3 Diablo Valley Pediatric Medical Group, Inc. to provide pediatric primary care physician services to CCHP members and County recipients, for the period from September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2018.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #27-319-4 will allow the contractor to continue providing pediatric primary care physician services for CCHP members through August 31, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
