RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Resolution No. 2018/479 approving the Side Letter between Contra Costa County and the Physicians’ and Dentists’ Organization of Contra Costa modifying the Preamble and Section 35.4 Duration of Agreement of the Memorandum of Understanding to extend the contract from August 31, 2018 through October 31, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

This Side Letter extends the current memorandum of understanding from August 31, 2018 through October 31, 2018, to allow both parties to work together to negotiate an agreement.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Members will continue working under an expired contract.
