RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the Public Works Director, a purchase order amendment with Advanced Traffic Products, Inc., to extend the termination date from August 30, 2018, to August 31, 2020, with no change to the payment limit, for Dialight traffic signal LED modules, Countywide.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact to this action. The cost of the original purchase order is funded through the Public Works Department Traffic Signal Maintenance budget. (100% General Fund)

BACKGROUND:

In August 2015, the Public Works Department Materials Management conducted a Bidsync bid soliciting a vendor for traffic signal light emitting diode (LED) modules. Dialight brand is the County standard and has been installed in all County traffic intersections. Posted as Bidsync #1508-154, Advanced Traffic Products, Inc. was awarded this commodity for three (3) years with two (2) possible one-year extensions. This request represents the two additional one year extensions.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this purchase order is not approved, Dialight brand traffic signal modules as provided by Advanced Traffic Products, Inc. will not proceed.
