RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment & Human Services director, or designee, to execute a contract with Presidio Networked Solutions, LLC in an amount not to exceed $742,933 to provide network services and equipment for the period July 1, 2018 through July 1, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 50% with state funding from the California Department of Education and 50% with federal funding from Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Head Start funds (CFDA #93.600). There is no net county cost.

BACKGROUND:

The Community Services Bureau of the Employment & Human Services Department conducted a request for proposal (RFP) through the department's partnership with the Universal Services Administrative Corporation, which operates federal grants for e-rate services. The Bureau qualifies for this program as a Head Start grantee. The RFP was conducted in January 2018 and this proposed Contractor was the successful bidder. The Contractor will evaluate the Bureau's network capabilities and will upgrade the equipment and software to be in compliance with current Federal and State data management requirements.
