RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE the conveyance of a portion of Real Property to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (District), located at 2290 Willow Pass Road, Concord, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 126-076-009, pursuant to Government Code Section 25365.  
  

DETERMINE that the conveyance of said property is no longer necessary for Contra Costa County (County) purposes, but necessary for the purposes of the District in the public interest and will not conflict or interfere with the County’s use of the property. (Project No. 7300-WLG174)  

RECOMMENDATION(S): (CONT'D)
  
AUTHORIZE the Interim Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the Grant Deed on behalf of the County.  
  
DIRECT the Real Estate Division of the Public Works Department to cause said Grant Deed to be recorded in the office of the County Clerk-Recorder

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.  

BACKGROUND:

On November 18, 1940, the County acquired the Real Property identified as APN: 126-076-009 for the Concord Veterans Memorial Hall.  
  
The District has requested the County convey ownership of a portion of the parcel which they have used since 1962 for access to their woodshop and parking purposes.  
  
This is a conveyance of title only, the use and operation of the property will remain the same.  

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Without approval from the Board of Supervisors, title of the fire station will not be in the name of the appropriate jurisdiction.
