RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Service Department, to execute a Purchase Order with Sysco Foods of San Francisco, in an amount not to exceed $950,000 for the purchase of food and paper supplies for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) from November 1, 2017 through October 31, 2018.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
Food and paper products are needed to provide proper meals to CCRMC patients, visitors and staff. Contractor has the largest selection of products to be able to provide CCRMC with the necessary options.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this Purchase Order is not approved, CCRMC will have to source the necessary products from different vendors creating inefficiencies in ordering, inventory and quality.
