BACKGROUND:

This State program provides funding to reimburse a portion of the childcare costs incurred by CalWORKS Stage 2 participants through their participation in the CalWORKS program. As the program year continues, the State routinely adds funding to the contract as more funds become available. The board approved receipt of additional funds on March 8, 2016 (C.30) On April 19, 2016 (C.25) and again on June 7, 2016 (C.40), the board approved receipt of additional funds. This board order is to accept further additional funding.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If not approved, County will not have funds to operate CalWORKS Stage 2 childcare program.
