RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #76-547 with Arati Pratap, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $477,000, to provide gastroenterology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical and Health Centers (CCRMC) for the period from September 15, 2016 through September 14, 2017.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-547, the Contractor will provide gastroenterology services, including, but not limited to: clinic coverage, consultation, on-call coverage, training and medical procedures at CCRMC for the period from September 15, 2016 through September 14, 2017.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring gastroenterology services at CCRMC will not have access to Contractor’s services.
