RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #26-776-4 with Oceanside Laundry, LLC, a limited liability company, effective August 1, 2020, to amend Contract #26-776-3, to increase the payment limit by $90,000, from $3,467,750 to a new payment limit of $3,557,750, with no change in the term of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On December 12, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-776-3 with Oceanside Laundry, LLC for the provision of linen rental and laundering services for the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers, for the period July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2021.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-776-4 will allow the Contractor to provide additional linen rental and laundering services through June 30, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, Contractor will not be able to provide additional rental, laundering, pick-up and delivery services to CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers.
