RECOMMENDATION(S):

ACCEPT the resignation of Gretchen Logue, DECLARE a vacancy in the County's Sustainability Commission Seat on the Integrated Pest Management Advisory Committee.  

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

The Integrated Pest Management Advisory Committee was established on November 10, 2009 to protect and enhance public health, county resources, and the environment; minimize risks and maximize benefits to the public; promote a coordinated County-wide effort; serves as a resource; make policy recommendations and provide a forum for communication. Membership on the Committee includes non-voting representatives from the Agriculture and Public Works Departments in addition to the County Pest Management Contractor.

Voting members include a representative from each of the following: The Health Services Department, the County/Unincorporated County Storm Water Program, the County Sustainability Commission, the County Fish and Wildlife Committee, and a local 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) environmental organization. Three at-large public members and a public member alternate are also voting members.  
  
Gretchen Logue resigned from the Sustainability Commission on July 11, 2019 and no longer qualifies to serve on the IPM Advisory Committee.
