RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE the list of providers recommended by Contra Costa Health Plan's Peer Review and Credentialing Committee on May 14, 2019, and by Contra Costa Health Plan's Medical Director on May 24, 2019, and by the Health Services Director, as required by the State Departments of Health Care Services and Managed Health Care, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact of this action.

BACKGROUND:

The National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) requires that evidence of Board of Supervisor approval must be contained within each CCHP provider’s credentials file. Approval of this list of providers as recommended by the CCHP Peer Review and Credentialing Committee will enable the Contra Costa Health Plan to comply with this requirement.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this action is not approved, Contra Costa Health Plan’s Providers would not be appropriately credentialed and not be in compliance with the NCQA.
