RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #76-608 with Gladys P. Ayala, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $375,000 to provide gastroenterology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers for the period September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #76-608, the contractor will provide gastroenterology services including consultation, clinic coverage, training, on-call services, medical and/or surgical procedures at CCRMC and Health Centers, for the period from September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, patients requiring gastroenterology services will not have access to the contractor’s services.
