RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2018/4469 to prohibit stopping, parking or standing at all times, except for vehicles of individuals with disabilities (blue curb) on the west side of Trinity Avenue (Road No. 1655X), beginning at a point 425 feet north of the north curb line of Beloit Avenue (Road No. 1552D) and continuing northerly a distance of 20 feet, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Kensington area.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Parking will remain unrestricted at this location.

BACKGROUND:

Based on a residents request for a disabled persons only parking space on the public roadway, a subsequent investigation was initiated by Traffic Engineering staff. Traffic Engineering staff conducted an on-site assessment during which time it was observed that the driveway had a significant slope, making it difficult to access for persons with disabilities. In conformance with Public Works policy on disabled persons parking zones, it is recommended a disabled persons parking space be designated at this location.
