RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the County Administrator, or designee, to execute a contract amendment effective August 15, 2017 with Mohammed A. Gaffar (dba Sierra Consulting), to extend the term from August 31, 2017 through August 31, 2019 and increase the payment limit by $140,000 to a new payment limit of $290,000, to provide continuing consulting and programming support services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The entire cost is recovered from the user departments through DoIT's billing process.
BACKGROUND:
This contract is used to provide testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting of a number of Client Correspondence HP Exstream conversion issues. In accordance with Administrative Bulletin 605, service contracts exceeding $100,000 require the approval of the Board of Supervisors.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the requested action is not approved, the user department will be without the support necessary to keep any CalWIN consortium client correspondence in production.
