RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #27-432-1 with Laser Surgery Center, LTD, a partnership, in an amount not to exceed $200,000, to provide surgery services to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members, for the period from August 1, 2017 through July 31, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In September 2015, the County Administrator approved and Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #27-432 with Laser Surgery Center, LTD, for the provision of surgery services to CCHP members, for the period from August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2017.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #27-432-1 will allow Contractor to continue providing surgery services through July 31, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contract with the County will not be provided.
