RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Ordinance No. 2021-06, designating a 2004 Freightliner FL60, 1996 Freightliner FL60, 2020 Ford F-450, 2006 Ford F650, three 2018 Ford Interceptor utility vehicles and two 2018 Ford Edges as Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Team Vehicles, as recommended by the Health Services Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact. All response vehicles are already equipped to meet Authorized Emergency Vehicle requirements.
BACKGROUND:
Response Team has been responding to spills, chemical releases, and other hazardous materials incidents throughout the County. The need often arises to go through or around slow or stalled traffic.
