RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #77-063-2 with Center for Social Dynamics, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $3,600,000, to provide applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services for Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members, for the period from April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $3,600,000 over a three-year period and is funded 100% by CCHP Enterprise Fund II revenues. (Rate Increase)

BACKGROUND:

CCHP has an obligation to provide certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. This provider has been a CCHP Network Provider since April 1, 2017.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

On April 9, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #77-063-1 with Center for Social Dynamics in an amount not to exceed $900,000, to provide ABA services to CCHP members for the period April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2021.

Approval of Contract #77-063-2 will allow this contractor to continue to provide ABA services to CCHP members through March 31, 2024.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized ABA health care services for CCHP members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
