RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #24-681-94(5) with PH Senior Care, LLC (dba Pleasant Hill Manor), a limited liability company, effective July 1, 2021, to amend Contract #24-681-94(4) to increase the payment limit by $64,375 from $803,400 to a new payment limit of $867,775, with no change in the original term of December 1, 2020 through November 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Approval of this contract will result in additional budgeted expenditures of up to $64,375 and will be funded by 89% Mental Health Realignment ($57,294) and 11% Mental Health Services Act ($7,081) revenues.

BACKGROUND:

This contract meets the social needs of the County's population by augmenting room and board and providing twenty-four hour emergency residential care and supervision to eligible mentally disordered clients, who are specifically referred by the Mental Health Program Staff and who are served by County Mental Health Services. The Division has contracted with PH Senior Care, LLC (dba Pleasant Hill Oasis) PH Senior Care, LLC for augmented board and care services since November 2017.

On December 15, 2020, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-681-94(4) with PH Senior Care, LLC (dba Pleasant Hill Manor), to provide augmented board and care services for mentally ill older adults in an amount not to exceed $803,400, for the period from December 1, 2020 through November 30, 2021.

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-681-94(5) will allow this contractor to provide augmented board and care services to five (5) additional mentally ill adults through November 30, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, five mentally ill clients will not have access to this contractor’s services.
