RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director or designee, to accept on behalf of the County Grant Award #28-922 (#H7CHA37327) from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), to pay the County an amount not to exceed $86,750 for COVID-19 prevention services for County HIV/AIDS Program clients, for the period from April 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Acceptance of this Grant Award will result in an amount not to exceed $86,750 from HRSA for COVID-19 prevention services for HIV/AIDS Program clients. (County match not required)

BACKGROUND:

The funding will be used for preventing, preparing for, and responding to COVID-19 as needed for HIV/AIDS Program clients including education, testing, additional providers and transportation to and from medical appointments, through March 31, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If not approved, the County will not be able to accept this grant funding.
