RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Conservation and Development Director or designee to execute a contract, which includes modified indemnification language, with Crowe, LLP, in an amount not to exceed $195,000, to provide technical assistance services for the County's solid waste and recycling collection franchises, for the period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no impact to the County General Fund. The cost for these retainer contract services will be paid for with solid waste and recycling franchise fee revenue.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Conservation and Development (DCD) is responsible for administering the County’s four existing solid waste and recycling collection franchise agreements, which involves detailed rate reviews and other periodic activities that require technical assistance from persons with specialized expertise.
