RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of County Contract #74-446-9 with Neil Sachs, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $269,568, to provide outpatient psychiatric care to adults in West Contra Costa County, for the period October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On September 24, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-446-8 with Neil Sachs, M.D. for the provision of outpatient psychiatric care to adults in West Contra Costa County, for the period from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #74-446-9 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide outpatient psychiatric care through September 30, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s psychiatric care services.
