RECOMMENDATION(S):

Select Chair Pro Tempore to exercise the powers and duties of the Chair due to the absence of the Chair and Vice-Chair from today’s meeting.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:

Neither the Chair nor the Vice-Chair will be able to attend the Board meeting of July 23, 2019. Rule 9 of the Rules of Procedure for Board of Supervisors Meetings provide that if nether the Chair nor the Vice-Chair are present at a Board meeting, the Board members present shall select one of their members to act as the Chair Pro Tempore. The Chair Pro Tempore shall have and exercise all the powers and duties of the Chair for that particular meeting only.

Supervisor Karen Mitchoff was selected as Chair Pro Tempore for today’s meeting.
