RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of County Contract #74-562-2 with Emily Watters, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $279,552, to provide outpatient psychiatric services to mentally ill adults in West County, for the period August 1, 2019 through July 31, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On June 5, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-562 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #74-562-1) with Emily Watters, M.D. for the provision of outpatient psychiatric services to mentally ill adults in West County for the period from August 1, 2018 through July 31, 2019.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #74-562-2 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide outpatient psychiatric services through July 31, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s psychiatric services.
