RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #24-243-66 with R.E.A.C.H. Project, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,053,743 to provide drug abuse prevention and treatment services to youth and adults in East County, for the period from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This contract is funded by 54% Drug Medi-Cal, 39% Federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Set-Aside Grants, 6% Probation Department and 1% Assembly Bill 109. (Rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
This contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing specialized substance abuse treatment and prevention programs to help clients to achieve and maintain sobriety and to experience the associated benefits of self-sufficiency, family reunification, cessation of criminal activity and productive engagement in the community.
