RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #74-599 with Mary Gable, M.D., an individual, in an amount not to exceed $239,616, to provide outpatient psychiatric services for the period from August 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded entirely by Mental Health Realignment funding.

BACKGROUND:

Under Contract #74-599, the Contractor will provide outpatient psychiatric services for children at the East County Children’s Clinic through June 30, 2020.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s psychiatric care services.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

This Contract supports two of the Board of Supervisors’ five community outcomes: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing” and “Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes include increases in social connectedness, communication skills, parenting skills, and knowledge of the human service system in Contra Costa County.
