BACKGROUND:

The Mental Health Commission was created in 1993. Their mission is review and evaluate the community's mental health needs, services, facilities, and special problems; to advise the governing body and local mental health director as to any aspect of the local mental health program; review the County's performance outcome data and communicate its findings to the State Mental Health Commission; and assess the impact of the realignment of services from the State to the County on services delivered to clients and the local community and report the findings and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.

The At-Large seat was vacant as of June 30, 2019. Applications were accepted and the recommendation to appoint the above individual was then determined.
