RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #26-364-14 with Margaret Thayer, Ph.D., an individual, effective April 1, 2019, to amend Contract #26-364-13, to increase the payment limit by $38,000, from $232,000 to a new payment limit of $270,000, with no change in the term of June 1, 2018 through May 31, 2021.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This amendment is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On April 24, 2018, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-364-13 with Margaret Thayer, Ph.D., for the provision of neuropsychological and geropsychological testing services for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period June 1, 2018 through May 31, 2021. Approval of Contract Amendment #26-364-14 will allow the Contractor to provide additional neuropsychological and geropsychological testing services through May 31, 2021.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be paid for services rendered in good faith.
