RECOMMENDATION(S):

ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 22485 to reassign position #11181 and incumbent, Deputy Probation Officer III (7ATA) (represented) from Department 0309 (Institutions), Org 3120 to Department 0308 (Probation Programs) Org 3044 in the Probation Department, effective July 24, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact

BACKGROUND:

Position #11181 is a Deputy Probation Officer III position assigned to the Juvenile Hall. Over the last six years the Probation Department has worked to enhance our reentry services for youths being released from detention. This position works closely with the youths to ensure a smooth transition from our institutions. Because most of the work done by this Probation Officer is field work rather that institution work, it makes sense to reassign this position to the Field

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

This position will not be in the correct Budget Unit for the services that the position provides.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
