RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, a contract with Allegis Group Holdings, Inc. (dba TEK Systems, Inc.), a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $5,000,000 for temporary help and recruitment services for the Health Services' Information Systems Unit for the period July 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On July 19, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-538-5 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #23-538-6 through #23-538-8) with Allegis Group Holdings, Inc. (dba TEK Systems, Inc.) to provide qualified contract-to-hire and/or direct placement candidates for hard to fill positions in the Health Services Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018.

Approval of Contract #23-538-9 will allow the contractor to continue providing temporary help and recruitment services as needed through December 31, 2019.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, the Division will not have access to the contractor’s staffing services for hard to fill positions in the Department’s Information Systems Unit.
