RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #24–429–62 with Ujima Family Recovery Services, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $3,694,046, to provide residential and outpatient treatment for pregnant and parenting women and their small children, for the period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 82% Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Perinatal Set-Aside; 18% Drug Medi-Cal funds. (Rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing family-centered alcohol and drug treatment services to pregnant and parenting women and their children, in order to prevent perinatal substance abuse and improve birth outcomes.
