RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-351-5 with Pittsburg Antioch Medical Group, APC (dba Springhill Medical Group), a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000, to provide Primary Care, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonary and Endocrinology services for Contra Costa Health Plan members, for the period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan Enterprise Fund II. (No Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County.

On June 9, 2015 the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-351-4 with Pittsburg Antioch Medical Group, APC (dba Springhill Medical Group) for the period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017 for Primary Care, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonary and Endocrinology services.  
  
Approval of Contract #27-351-5 will allow Contractor to continue to provide services for CCHP members through June 30, 2019

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, certain specialized health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
