RECOMMENDATION(S):

Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23-559-5 with KPJ Consulting, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $303,000, to provide consulting and technical assistance for the Electronic Medical Records Systems to the Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

On June 5, 2015, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-559-1 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #23-559-2 and Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-559-3) with KPJ Consulting, LLC, to provide consulting and technical assistance to the Department’s Information Systems Director for the Electronic Medical Records Systems including, but not limited to: reporting, data analytics, business intelligence and training, for the period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract #23-559-5 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, the Information Systems Unit will have access to Contractor’s services
