Referral History:

On December 6, 2011 the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2011/497 adopting policy governing appointments to boards, committees, and commissions that are advisory to the Board of Supervisors. Included in this resolution was the requirement that applications for at large/countywide seats be reviewed by a Board of Supervisors sub-committee.

Referral Update:

Staff to the Advisory Council on Aging (ACOA) recruited, interviewed and selected Ms. Kathryn Ames as the recommended appointee for the currently vacant Member at Large Seat #17. ACOA voted to approve Ms. Ames appointment recommendation at their May 18, 2016 meeting.

Recommendation(s)/Next Step(s):

RECOMMEND to the Board of Supervisors the appointment of Ms. Kathryn Ames to the Member at Large seat #17 on the Advisory Council on Aging with a term expiring September 30, 2018.
