RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors to execute a contract for the provision of legal services by County Counsel to Contra Costa Resource Conservation District at specified hourly rates for Fiscal Year 2016-2017, and from year to year thereafter, unless terminated.

FISCAL IMPACT:

For legal services to be provided, the County will receive compensatory per-hour revenue payments.

BACKGROUND:

The County Counsel's Office is authorized by statute to provide legal services to the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District. This contract authorizes compensation for those services as reasonable rates equivalent to rates charged to other County Counsel clients.
