RECOMMENDATION(S):

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract with Allegis Group Holdings, Inc., (dba TEK Systems, Inc.) a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,160,000, for the provision of temporary help and recruitment services for the Information Systems Unit, for the period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This contract is funded 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:

In May 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-538 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #23-538-1 through #23-538-4) with TEK Systems, Inc. (now known as Allegis Group Holdings, Inc., for the provision of qualified contract-to-hire and/or direct placement candidates for hard to fill positions in the Health Services Department’s Information Systems Unit, for the period from March 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016.

Approval of Contract #23-538-5 will allow the Contractor to continue providing temporary help and recruitment services through June 30, 2018.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If this contract is not approved, the Division will not have access to Contractor’s staffing services for hard to fill positions in the Department’s Information Systems Unit.
